Jesus said, He who seeks will find, and he who knocks will be let in. (94)
This is not a “precious promise” as exoteric Christians think, but the enunciation of an irrevocable law. For seeking and knocking are actions that by the nature of things will provoke a response. Our lives are totally in our hands; we shape them according to our thoughts and deeds. Seeking will result in finding and knocking will result in entering. So we had better be sure that we really want what we seek and that we want to end up where we have knocked. And we must be sure beforehand what will be the exact reaction to our seeking and knocking. If we know what we are about we can make our life glorious. If we do not know, then our life will be confused and a misery. We truly do make either heaven or hell right here on earth. This is the power wielded by every human being to either ill or good.
