Jesus said, That which you have will save you if you bring it forth from yourselves. [But the lack of] that which you do not have within you will kill you if you do not have it within you. (70)
This is stated in a very uncompromising manner which is perfectly fitting because it is true that if a person brings forth divinity from within himself and possesses the transcendent experience and knowledge that bringing forth his inner reality entails, he–and he alone–shall be saved, liberated from the bondage of birth and death and all limitations forever. On the other hand, if he does not bring his immortal being forth, then that very lack will ensure his remaining in the realms of spiritual death.
“I call heaven and earth to record this day, that I have set before you life and death: therefore choose life, that thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life” (Deuteronomy 30:19-20).
