Jesus said, Blessed are the poor, for yours is the kingdom of heaven. (54)
The Kingdom of Heaven is not a place or a thing, but a state of being: the state of Divine Being. And since divinity is beyond all relativity, beyond all things, only the “poor”–the absolutely possessionless and attributeless–attain that kingdom. It is the blessedness of No-Thing which is in reality the blessedness of Everything. Those who have nothing of this illusory existence are able to “possess the land” of Infinity forever.
“The saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever” (Daniel 7:18).
“And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine” (Luke 15:31).
