To someone who asked about the presences of dark forces in the world.
Someone once asked Yogananda, “Do you believe in hell?” Yoganandaji smiled and said, “Where do you think you are?”
This material world is the lowest there is. Even hell is better because people know why they are there, and in this place most people do not have any idea at all. Or think about it.
It is our karma to be in this place because we belong here with people who have similar karmas. Our purpose is to purify ourselves and do intense Soham sadhana. Otherwise we will be coming right back here until we do.
