In this satsang excerpt, Swami Nirmalananda Giri shares one of the “Blessed Memories” included in his newly published An Eagle’s Flight: A Yogis Spiritual Autobiography. He recounts his darshan of Neem Karoli Baba (Maharajji)—a moment that he describes as making him “drunk with ananda.”
Because the local authorities in India were paranoid about foreigners, Swamiji couldn’t approach Baba closely. But with a motion picture camera and a telephoto lens, he and those with him saw Maharajji’s face come alive in full view—a truly memorable experience.
Swamiji also shares a remarkable story from Almora, where a devotee called out to Baba from the road at Anandamayi Ma’s instruction… and he arrived in a speeding convertible, driven for days from Vrindavan just to meet her.
